UNIT-III
Human and child development; prenatal development; newborn care; maternal care; childhood and adolescence; family relationships; marriage and family dynamics; family life cycle; family welfare programmes; community education; child study methods and preschool/crèche participation.
UNIT-IV
Management concepts and process; work and work environment; work simplification; housing; design and home furnishing; accessories and equipment; furniture; paintings; family finance; consumer education and functional interiors.
UNIT-V
Clothing construction; sewing machines; textiles and fibres; manufacturing; family clothing needs; household textiles; weaving and hosiery; traditional Indian textiles and embroideries; clothing care; textile finishes; dyeing, printing and organic dyes.
UNIT-VI
Home Science education, communication and extension methods; programme planning and evaluation; entrepreneurial education; projected and non-projected audio-visual aids; rural development programmes and empowerment of women.
